About Autism
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is a lifelong neurodevelopmental disorder. It often appears in early childhood and affects language, communication, social skills, and self-regulation — skills we use to manage emotions and behaviors in challenging moments.
The term “spectrum” refers to the wide range of symptoms, which can make autism harder to diagnose. Common traits include difficulties with communication and social interaction in different settings, along with repetitive behaviors, focused interests, and restricted activities.

ABA, or applied behavior analysis, is widely recognized as the most effective treatment for autism. Supported by decades of research, ABA therapy is covered by law in the United States. It can take place in different settings, including your child’s home, community, or specialized Learning Centers.
ABA isn’t a single treatment method. Instead, it’s an approach that combines various techniques to help children build essential skills for success in school and everyday life.
